About Me

I am a young, 69yr old single lady in good health and I have two children in their mid 30's who do not live with me. I have a B.com degree and last worked as a Financial Manager in a not-for-profit organisation. I have been retired for 7 years and recently discovered that I enjoy teaching English online, to adult, non-native English speakers. I suppose I consider myself a high-functioning introvert. Good in one-on-one company but a bit of a wallflower in a crowd. Although I enjoy a good meal out, it is not my passion, neither are bars.... too noisy to hear conversation.

My Interests

Although on the back-burner for some time, gardening and sewing are still hobbies I enjoy. But my passion now is to travel around Australia in a campervan. After that, to visit a few other countries, starting with Europe. I enjoy the theatre and ballet, going to fairs and exhibitions and art cinema, and picnics in the park. I suppose I am spontaneous too, taking off for a weekend break on the spur of the moment is fun. I am up for any type of adventure and will give any activity a go, as long as I am physically capable of course.

My Ideal Partner

Someone who is single, either long-time divorced, widowed but not looking to replace his wife. Someone who likes some of the things I do especially the desire to travel, taking weekends away, spontaneous outings, maybe some gardening. Someone who enjoys being handy is a bonus but not essential. Keep me laughing with your wit, happy and outgoing personality, and especially to be kind and considerate. If you enjoy knocking up the occasional meal too, even better as I do not enjoy that chore. I am not sure what being cuddled feels like but I would love to find out.
