About Me

I've been retired for nearly 20 years and live in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, NE of Melbourne. Currently building an unusual new house for myself, and looking for female companionship but no long term commitment or relationship, although an enduring friendhip would be great. I've always loved travel and sports cars. I don't smoke or drink, and I consider myself kind and sincere. Until about 15 years ago I did a lot of cycling and was super fit, but sadly that has been left in the past as my living circumstances don't permit it. I used to live in South Yarra and for some years went clubbing three nights a week, but that also has receded into the past and is too far away for me now anyway. Being retired and without a regular social life, opportunities to meet women are rare now, but I haven't lost interest, although at age 75, some of the old fizz has of course leaked out. But I still have all my fingers and they're as stiff as ever, and my tongue still knows how to wiggle and flick, so if you think that might be useful, keep me on your list of possibles. I'm tolerant, adventurous and open-minded. I have two adult kids and three grandchildren, and as the gag goes, if I'd known how great it would be having grandchildren I'd have had them first! But my kids are busy and far away, so I don't get to see them nearly enough. Divorced 19 years ago, so don't have any issues with exes. I'd love to find someone happy and with an outgoing personality if possible, but I'm not the most extroverted guy, so that's negotiable.

My Interests

Travel - especially to exotic places like Morocco, Central Asia,Turkey, East Africa. Sailing. Shooting Target Rifles. Driving with the top down when weather permits it. Reading. Ladies. I don't watch TV at all, but I do spend too much time on YouTube, because life's too short to confine yourself to what you already know, and the human community provides endless instruction and entertainment.

My Ideal Partner

Someone without rigid opinions and open to new points of view. Non-religious. Loves good comedy and laughter. Looks are less important than personality and character. Loves dogs (Who doesn't?) Understanding and considerate. Probably unconventional. Able to amuse herself. Adventurous. Independent and self-reliant. Likes cooking but is ok with leaving someone else to wash up. Definitely NOT looking for a soulmate or walks on the beach, and sunsets are boring, like their morning equivalent. So if that's your thing, count me out.
