About Me

My overarching personality can only be described as outgoing and sometimes a bit over the top. My friends have always said that my energy source comes from socialising and that I can be quite blunt sometimes. I personally see my need for socialising as being friendly and my bluntness for honesty, both of which I believe is essential for any relationship (a partner must foremost be your best friend and honesty is crucial in a relationship). I go to a Chinese church called St Anne's Impact International and enjoy the fellowship and love of my brothers and sisters who tolerate my very rusty Mandarin. I am born in Shanghai but raised in Australia, meaning that my English is much better than my Mandarin. I am slowly learning back my Mandarin through fellowship with my brothers and sisters in the church, but my attempts in conversing in Chinese often results in chuckles all round. I enjoy playing badminton and would go every Saturday to play games organised by my Pastor. I have recently also taken up cycling (albeit through the process I learned that I really need more exercise). My road to discovering Jesus, was a long and challenging journey. I am a Christian with non Christian parents, I have been through many speed bumps along the way and believe there will be many in the future. I also believe that no matter what life throws at you, as long as you have an objective of wanting to know more about Jesus, then God will work in mysterious ways to help you achieve it. I believe life should be sometimes spontaneous and that we should be open to all activities as long as it's centred with Christian values. I enjoy a whole host of things such as reading, movies (I enjoy a good action or comedy) and just simply sitting in a cafe and having a long chat.
