About Me

I am a qualified Social Worker who worked as a Probation & Parole Officer for many years. I loved my job and at the end of my career worked with offenders in the community as a Therapeutic Counsellor. I have a sense of humor and loved Spike Milligan who wrote his own Epitaph "I told you I was sick", I admired Nelson Mandela and have a tendency to support the underdog. I am passionate about politics and the environment as well as human rights. I believe we are never to old to learn and am currently studying Philosophy with the University of the Third Age.

My Interests

Like music (Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash etc.) Enjoy walking, gardening, reading, National Geographic, Richard Attenborough. Love Thai Food, Curries, Steak, dining out. I have been fortunate to travel to France, UK, Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece, Holland, Switzerland, Thailand and Nepal. I have also travelled to the top end of Australia as well as Alice Springs.

My Ideal Partner

My ideal partner would have similar values to myself i.e. caring, considerate, flexible, passionate and an open mind. I would like him to be self sufficient and secure financially. I would like to do more travelling, particularly to the West Coast. I have no ambition for marriage and would prefer we live separately and spend special time together when we meet. I like tall men. I also like earthy men with beards but this is not imperative. I would be happy to have a relationship with a male younger or older than myself.
