About Me

I am a guidance counselor at a local public high school. I like my job because I like the idea that I am helping form the citizens of tomorrow. Whenever I think about it like that, I realize how big of a job mine is. I get a lot of troubled teens being sent into my office and I really try to connect with them because I might be the only adult that they can talk to. Some of the students I have handled have trouble at home or with friends and oftentimes, I really am the only one in their team. And I do not take that lightly.

My Interests

Whenever I have days off during the school year, I like to cuddle in my bed and read a book. Whenever I feel like my workload isn't too much then I pick up a fiction book. But whenever I'm dealing with a particularly difficult situation in school, I like to pick up a book on teen psychology just to enhance what I already know in that regard.
